Continuous improvement: ISO 9001 1/2

Quality Management System (QMS) ISO 9001 is the internationally best-known quality management standard. Ontec has been committed to quality and continuous process development since 2012. The standard requires annual internal and external follow-up audits, as well as a certification audit every three years. Our quality management system has once again been audited by an external party, this year it was the turn of the certificate renewal, i.e. a certification audit.

Our quality management system has been developed for twelve years in accordance with the requirements of the standard. The changing operating environment and customer needs and, of course, the desire to be the best player in the market motivate us to continue the work. The requirements of the standard for an enterprise’s quality management system are based on several key principles:

Customer focus: The company must understand and meet customer requirements. These requirements are documented and measured to ensure customer satisfaction.

Leadership: The management of the company is responsible for setting a clear vision and guidelines to which all members of the organization are committed.

Employee involvement: Improving quality and actively developing processes is essential for all employees.

Process-oriented approach: The entire quality management system relies on a process-like approach. Resources, operations and decision-making, as well as responsibilities, are focused on improving efficiency. Risks related to the company’s operations are also addressed through these processes.

Continuous improvement: Operational development through leadership and employee involvement.

Fact-based decision-making: A process-oriented approach guides the company towards collecting and analysing information that is important for the company’s operations.

Relationship management: Stakeholders are clearly defined and communication is planned and documented, this supports the maintenance of relationships and therefore quality management.

ISO 9001 ja ATEX (Atmosphères Explosibles)

In connection with ISO 9001, the quality management system is also audited from the perspective of the requirements set by the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU. This is because Ontec manufactures the Onatex Heat trace heating control system, which is responsible for controlled temperature control of products in industrial pipelines.
