Verification by Ontec
A scheduled verification must be carried out for the liquid fuel measuring instruments every two years according to Measuring Instruments Directive (MID). In addition to practical measurements, the inspection body has the right to receive the information required for scheduled verification from the owner, importer or manufacturer of the measuring instrument. At Ontec we always carry out the verifications with an inspection body approved by Tukes – to our customer we make it easiest possible – turnkey solution.

At fall 2021 a scheduled verification for MID -approval was taken place at our customers premisses. Verification concerned a loading arm that was first time MID -approved eight years earlyer. The operating Onatex MID system that records the measurements is used by the tanker truck drivers at the loading area where it exposures to the nordic weather all year round. Requirements for OnatexMID system, equipment group ATEX 2(1)G: environment temperature area -40..+60 °C.
OnatexMID had recorded during those eight years time:
- More than 80 000 MID-approved loadings
- MID report temperature compensated + 15 ͦ C
Requirements for OnatexMID system, equipment group ATEX 2(1)G: environment temperature -40..+60 °C.
Dimensional accuracy of OnatexMID is also quite outstanding. The margin of error for the whole period was ca. 0,1 % when the maximum acceptable reading is 0,5 %.
